Baritone Ukele

A website of resources, ideas, workshops, groups
and all things specific to this wonderful string instrument.

Baritone
Ukulele

While many suppliers, resources and ideas come from all over the world,
we will emphasize as many Canadian features as possible

Worldly
Yet Canadian

Why a Bari?

Where does the Baritone fit into the world of ukuleles,, and how is it different than a small guitar?.

Tuning

It’s not hard. A G chord is still a G chord. No transposing required.

2026 Workshops

Most workshops are inJuly and August. As 2027 events are scheduled, we’ll build a new list. In the meantime, the Niagara on the Lake Ukesters continue their monthly sessions, and there is still a wonderful event scheduled for late September on the west coast.

Chords

There are many sources of chord charts on the internet, just for the baritone. Just remember that while the fingering shape is different for the baritone, a C chord is still a C chord!

Manufacturers

Ukuleles come from all over the world. Some of the best still are manufactured in Hawaii, but equally fine instruments are coming from many other countries. Check out our list of suggested instrument suppliers.

Where to Buy
